Alates 1. veebruarist langetati Kohtla-Järve avalike linnaliinide number 28, 29 ja 77 piletihinda esialgu kaheks kuuks päevasel ajal kella 9-st 16-ni 10-lt kroonilt 5-le kroonile, millest kirjutas ka 22.01.2009 Ühistanspordiportaal. Nüüd on madalamad piletihinnad kehtinud 4 päeva ning on märgata reisijate arvu kasvu päevasel ajal, kirjutas 04.02.2009 Põhjarannik.
28. liinil opereeriva Järve Bussipargi tegevdirektori Aleks Avikaineni sõnul oli varem päevasel ajal busside täituvus umbes kolmandik, pärast hinnaalandust aga rohkem. 29. ja 77. liinil opereeriva Ekspress Auto L-i juhi Anatoli Listovi sõnul on samuti reisijate arv päevasel ajal suurenenud.
Sageli pole reisijad veel soodsamast sõiduvõimalusest teadlikud. Bussides vastav info puudub. Loodetakse, et reisijad ei astu enam sisse 10 kroonisesse kommertsväikebussi, vaid ootavad 5 kroonist bussi.
Bussifirmade juhtide sõnul võib piletihind eksperimendi õnnestumise korral madalamaks jäädagi.
