Alates 2011. aastast ei toetata seoses Euroopa Parlamendi ja Nõukogu määruse jõustumisega riigieelarvest riigisiseseid kommertskaugliine juhul, kui pole sõlmitud avaliku teenindamise lepingut või EÜ määruse kohast otselepingut. Seoses sellega tuleb bussivedajatel mitmetel liinidel kas jätkata ilma dotatsioonita või liin sulgeda. Maavalitsustel võib liinide sulgemise korral tekkida vajadus eraldi bussiliiniveo teenust riigihankega tellida.
Selle määruse jõustumise valguses kaasati ka kolm Läänemaalt lähtuvat kaguliiini maakonnahankesse, mille tagajärjel teenindab mõningaid Haapsalust Pärnusse, Märjamaale ja Tallinnasse suunduvaid liine avaliku teenindamise lepingu alusel OÜ M.K.Reis-X. Küll ei kaasatud näiteks Viljandi-Mõisaküla-Pärnu liini Viljandi maakonna hankesse (uued vedajad 01.07.2010) ning hetkel pole kaasatud Tõrva-Valga-Võru liini Valga maakonna hankesse (uus vedaja 01.01.2011).
