Jõgevamaal tutvustati projekti "Jõgevamaa ühistranspordi arendamine" liikumis- ja liiklusuuringut, kirjutab ajaleht Vooremaa. Uuringu tulemusena selgus näiteks, et ühistranspordi kvaliteediga ollakse rahul, samas ei olda rahul sageli liikumissagedusega, kuigi olemasolevatel reisidel on tihti niigi vähe reisijaid. Selgus ka, et maakonna elanikest kasutab ühistransporti 11 protsenti ning varasemalt on ka teada, et üle poole reisijatest Jõgevamaa maakonnabussides moodustavad õpilased. Uuringust tulenes MTÜ Jõgevamaa Ühistranspordikeskuse juhataja Heldur Lääne sõnul ka see, et bussiliiklus on oluline sotsiaalse turvalisuse seisukohalt.
Lääne sõnul tuleks senisest enam tegeleda liinide paindlikumaks muutmisega ning sõiduinfo peaks olema uuendatud ja paremini kättesaadav. Samuti tuleks Lääne arvates viia sarnaseid uuringuid läbi perioodiliselt.
